FHS & Rachel's Challenge

Rachel's Challenge Community Event
Join us on September 12th at 7pm at the FHS gym to commit to kindess and change our community.
As Floresville ISD strives to build a community of character, we would like to invite you to come and hear an incredible story of courage and hope. Rachel Scott was the first person killed in the Columbine High School Tragedy on April 20, 1999. She left behind an amazing legacy and a simple challenge to anyone who will accept it – treat others with kindness and compassion and you just may change the world in which you live.
Rachel’s Challenge exists to equip and inspire individuals to replace acts of violence, bullying, and negativity with acts of respect, kindness, and compassion. Rachel’s inspiring story provides a simple, yet powerful example of how small acts of kindness and acceptance motivate us to consider our relationships with the people we come in contact with every day. Rachel’s Challenge renews our hope that our life has meaning and purpose. Her story gives us permission to start our own chain reaction of kindness and compassion, which positively affects the climate in our schools and communities.
Please join us for an impassioned community event that tells the story of Rachel Scott and inspires a desire for change among students and adults alike.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 12, at 7:00 PM
Intentionally creating opportunities to focus on character is one more way that Floresville ISD is preparing you for a prosperous life. We look forward to seeing you and your family!
