BPA Advances to National Competition

Top students from Floresville High School attended the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference March 6th through 8th in Houston where they competed against students from across Texas. These students represented FHS well, with numerous finishes as national alternates. Special recognition goes out to Alex Eckert, who placed 2nd at the state level in the Network Administration using Microsoft concepts competition. Alex will be attending the BPA 2014 National Leadership Conference, “Accelerate Your Future,” in Indianapolis, IN, April 30- May 4, 2014. Alex will join over 5,000 other conference delegates from across the nation to participate in national level business skills competitions, workshops, general sessions, and the national officer candidate campaigns and elections. Besides having the opportunity to excel, they’ll experience the city of Indianapolis, IN.
“The conference will be the culmination of a school year’s worth of business education and
training which members of the local chapter of Business Professionals of America
at Floresville High School have received,” said chapter advisor and CTE
Coordinator, RheaNell Rogers.
 
Business Professionals of America is a national organization for high
school, college, and middle school students preparing for careers in business
and information technology. The organization’s activities and programs
complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience
through  application
