Casey Earns NROTC Scholarship

Recently, Cadet Chandler Casey of the FHS ROTC program won the prestigious Navy ROTC Scholarship.  He may apply it to cover expenses toward earning a 4 year Baccalaureate degree.  He also has won an $80,000 President’s Scholarship to Norwich University, Vermont.  Casey is also considering Virginia Military Institute (VMI).  He entered the newly introduced FHS ROTC hosted College Applications and Scholarships program last Summer, which in the past at other high schools has helped cadets and students at large earn admission and scholarships to the military Academies and other first tier civilian colleges such as New York University, Manhattan School of Music, Baylor University, and Harvard.   Cadet Colonel Casey currently is the Vice-Corps Commander of the FHS ROTC program, and he plans to join the United States Marine Corps upon graduation from college
