Update on Water Pressure at FHS, March 3, 2020

While the City of Floresville is still working on replacing a water pump, the water pressure at FHS, today, was sufficient for the normal use of restrooms and water fountains. All restrooms were checked periodically throughout the day and were found to be in working order with the exception of restrooms located in the band hall and practice gym. Students in those areas were able to use restrooms in the adjacent building. Water was turned off for a specific repair for approximately 20 minutes this afternoon but remained on the rest of the day. During the day, we were made aware of social media posts regarding inoperable restrooms and water fountains. Please be assured that the administration monitored restrooms and fountains closely and at no time were the conditions as described in those posts. As we wait for the completion of the repairs, please know that the district is monitoring the situation closely and that the health and safety of our students and staff is our first priority. If you have questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact your child’s campus principal.
