13th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony
The FISD Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the Floresville High School Gymnasium on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. All Veterans and active duty military from Wilson County and surrounding counties are invited to attend and be honored at the ceremony. Veterans and their immediate family members are asked to sit in the VIP Section in the designated chairs on the gymnasium floor. There will be volunteers to assist you if necessary.
Prior to the ceremony, all Veterans are invited to attend a light breakfast beginning at 9 a.m. in the Floresville High School Band Hall. Following this gathering, the ceremony will commence with the National Anthem, Presentation of Colors and Pledge of Allegiance, as well as other participation from various students and organizations.
Parking is available in front of, and to the side, of the FHS Gym. Disabled parking is available in front of the FHS gym. For easy access to the Veteran’s breakfast and ceremony, veterans may be dropped off in front of the band hall by entering FHS on 11th Street and continuing through the gates, past the Agriculture Building. There will be signs directing guests to the breakfast and ceremony.
For those unable to attend, the ceremony will be streamed live on the FHS YouTube channel.
