December Students of the Month

Male December Student of the Month

Emmanuel Rodriguez is the 17-year-old son of Maria and Juan Rodriguez. He is in the top quartile of his graduating class with an overall 4.0 GPA.

Emmanuel is active at FHS playing soccer and being a member of the National Honor Society. He is has been on the All-A Honor Roll and was named to the all-district first team in soccer and second team in cross-country.

When not busy with school, Emmanuel participates in Catholic retreats and sings in his church choir.  He volunteers his time helping around the house doing various chores and lawn work as well as assisting at his father’s construction company during the summer and days off from school.

Emmanuel plans to attend St. Mary’s University where he intends to major in Computer Engineering.  His top strengths are Includer, Positivity, Woo, Maximizer and Developer.

Female December Student of the Month

Miranda Uriegas is the 17-year-old daughter of Jackie and Marcelo Uriegas. She is ranked number two in her graduating class with an overall GPA of 105.09.

Miranda is an active member of the National Honor Society and a varsity softball player. She is on the All-A Honor Roll and has received numerous academic awards, including the Coastal Bend College EDUC 1300 award and the Algebra 2 award.

When Miranda has free time, she volunteers with various organizations. She has volunteered her time to hang peanuts for the Peanut Festival, she visits the Veteran’s Home with NHS and she assists with an NHS-sponsored breakfast at the Veteran’s Home. She also works part-time at the Floresville Walmart.

Miranda plans to attend Texas A&M University, College Station where she intends to major in Biomedical Sciences. Her top strengths are Harmony, Restorative, Deliberative, Analytical and Relator.
