April Female Student of the Month
Alexa Cantu is the 18-year-old daughter of Elida and Alex Cantu. She is in the top quarter of her graduating class with an overall average of 98.5.
Alexa is very active in various activities. She is a member of Link Crew and the National Honor Society. She takes advanced coursework and has been on the All-A Honor Roll. Alexa has played on the Varsity basketball team where she has been named Academic All-District and Academic All-State. She also participates in track and recently qualified for the Area Track Meet in the 4x1 relay and 100.
When not busy with school activities, Alexa represents Floresville as a princess on the Peanut Festival Court. She also is an active member of the Junior Catholic Daughters serving as President. In her spare time, Alexa volunteers by writing Valentine’s cards and making gift bags for the nursing home. She also helps with coat and canned food drives as much as possible.
Alexa plans to attend San Diego State University where she intends to major in Psychology. Her top strengths are Competition, Strategic, Woo, Communication, and Significance.
April Male Student of the Month
Cole Brown is the 17-year-old son of Jane and Donald Brown. He is in the top ten of his graduating class with an overall GPA of 4.0.
Cole has taken all advanced classes all throughout high school. He is a member of the Mighty Tiger Band, playing trombone and serving as a section leader. He is a member of the UIL Academics Team. He participated in Cross-Examination Debate advancing to State his junior year. He has been on the All-A Honor Roll all throughout high school.
When Cole is not busy with school, he serves as an usher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He worked an internship the summer of his sophomore year with Adams Extract.
Cole has been accepted to attend The University of Texas at Austin where he intends to major in Computer Science. His top strengths are Competition, Achiever, Significance, Restorative, and Futuristic.
