In the hope that this letter finds you well, I would like to extend my greetings as your child’s Spanish I teacher for the 2020-2021 school year at Floresville High School. The school year has just begun and I look forward to starting off the first term productively.
I graduated from the University of the Southwest in New Mexico with a Master’s
Degree in Science Education with an emphasis in Bilingual Curriculum and Instruction, and I feel privileged to teach in this school district where I believe I can be most helpful. I believe in Floresville’s School District’s mission of preparing every student for success in college, career, and life. I also believe that our district provides excellent programs for all students. Our school community here at Floresville High School has everything our teachers need to provide a solid education and everything our students need to succeed.
This year I will be teaching Spanish I. I can already tell that I have been given a wonderful group of students who are eager to take on exciting new challenges and understand the commitment and dedication that learning a new language requires.
I believe that learning Spanish is very important and highly useful in tackling today’s job market. Knowing another language will make every student more marketable in today’s economy. Many doors will open to our students as they spend their high school years learning and growing. I encourage all parents to take part in their child’s program and to call me/ email me at any time to discuss questions and concerns.
