Dr. Monica Schlueter

Dear Floresville ISD Family,

I am pleased to announce Dr. Monica Schlueter as the new principal of Floresville South Elementary.
 
Dr. Schlueter is well known to our school community and her experience, interest, and focus on developing our students set her apart. She has served as Instructional Coach at Floresville North Elementary and was recently appointed to lead the Early Childhood Center. Dr. Schlueter will work with Mrs. Angela Garcia to ensure a smooth transition in leadership and will officially start as principal on June 1.
 
Upon acceptance of her new role, Dr. Schlueter stated, “I am honored and humbled to be selected as the New Principal of Floresville South Elementary. I appreciate the support of our FISD Administrative team and the School Board of Trustees in trusting me to lead our Floresville South Family. I support our leadership’s decision and am grateful for the trust vested in me to continue providing the best comprehensive experience in supporting our students in their personal and professional growth.”
 
Dr. Schlueter began her educational career in 2006 and has served as a teacher, assistant principal, collegiate faculty, and instructional coach. She holds a Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Educational Administration from TAMU-K and a PhD in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University.
