Floresville ISD has announced two new principals for the 2024-2025 school year. Holden Barrett has been named principal of Floresville High School after serving as principal at Floresville Middle School for two years. Mr. Barrett previously served as assistant principal at FHS from 2020 until 2022.
“I am excited to return to Floresville High School. Heading back to my previous campus to take on a new role will be an exciting challenge filled with new learning opportunities,” said Mr. Barrett. “I am enthusiastic about working to build on the great work Dr. Farnsworth has started. I look forward to continuing to develop our CTE programs with fun and exciting electives for students.”
Jimmy Reily, currently assistant principal at Floresville Middle School, will be stepping up to fill the principal role. Mr. Reily has served as assistant principal at FMS since 2021 and has 30 years of experience in education.
“I am very excited to step up to the challenge of this new role at Floresville Middle School,” said Mr. Reily. “I feel we have the best staff and students and I look forward to working with them to build on our successes and all the great things taking place at our campus.”
Mr. Barrett holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Howard Payne University and a Master’s in Education Administration from Concordia University.
Mr. Reily earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas and a Master’s in Education from the University of Oklahoma.
